Olivia Seymour

Olivia Seymour is an actor, writer, and artist based in New York City. She grew up studying theatre and creative writing at Interlochen Arts Camp, where she developed her passion for exploring the complexities of the human condition. Following that passion, she matriculated to Interlochen Arts Academy and graduated with High Honors as a Theatre Major. While still in high school, her original one act plays Yellow Orchids and Drowning in Watercolors received regional and national recognition through TheaterMania’s First Annual Young Playwrights Festival and the Michigan State University Wharton Center’s Young Playwrights Festival produced in conjunction with the National Writers Series at the Traverse City Opera House.

Olivia recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with BA in Film, Television, and Theatre, and minors in Musical Theatre and Peace Studies. At Notre Dame, she took on many roles as an undergraduate, directing Tuck Everlasting for the Pasquerilla East Musical Theatre Company, assistant stage managing, writing film reviews for The Observer, and performing in theatrical productions and student films. Her most treasured experience, however, was that of writing the book, music, and lyrics for her original musical Heart on Fire, which was developed through Notre Dame’s New Works Lab and produced as part of the Film, Television, & Theatre Department’s season under the direction of Matt Hawkins, Director of Theatre at Notre Dame.

Recent acting credits include King Lear (Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival), Julius Caesar (Interlochen Shakespeare Festival), #25 in The Wolves (University of Notre Dame), and Nadia in Bare: A Pop Opera (University of Notre Dame).

Olivia is currently pursuing an MFA in Graduate Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
